Scale of Recent Commitments
Documents show the largest single tranche came from a June 28 closing that included $185 million from regional infrastructure funds and $127 million from the national development bank. Those figures pushed total broadband investment in Caracas to $478 million year-to-date, up sharply from the $211 million recorded for all of 2025. Average residential speeds on the newest segments now reach 180 Mbps, with introductory packages priced at 18,500 bolívares per month for the first twelve months.
Officials expect the current build phase to add 142,000 new fiber drops by December 2027, concentrated along corridors such as Avenida Francisco de Miranda and around Parque del Este. Service providers have committed to quarterly progress reports that will track both coverage and actual throughput delivered to subscribers.
