Activity clusters in two districts
EcoForge operates from a converted warehouse on Avenida Principal de Las Mercedes, where eight engineers test waste-to-energy converters sized for restaurants. Two blocks away, VerdeGrid runs a small lab inside the Caracas Tech Incubator on Calle Pascual Navarro in Chacao, focusing on smart inverters that sync with existing diesel generators.
Both groups formed in 2024 after the city government opened a $3 million grant window for energy projects that cut diesel use by at least 30 percent.
VerdeGrid reported $480,000 in new seed funding closed on July 9, while EcoForge secured a pilot contract with three Sabana Grande office towers to install its converters starting August 4.
